Alaska Governor Sarah Palin visits Stennis

The crew of the Bremerton-based aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis got a visit this week from former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Stennis was operating off the coast of Alaska for the Northern Edge exercise.
The ship, its strike group and air wing are wrapping up a deployment that began in January.
According to an account of Palin's visit from the Stennis' public affairs staff, about 20 crew members from Alaska had front-row seats for a speech the governor gave for about 400 people gathered in one of the ship's hangar bays.
The Anchorage Daily News published a photo gallery of images from the trip. More photos from the Stennis' deployment are posted on the ship's Web site.
