NASA photo of Greg Johnson on his return from space shuttle mission

Navy Reserve Capt. Greg Johnson will talk about his recent space shuttle mission at a public presentation 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Museum of Flight. Johnson, a University of Washington graduate and Seattle native, piloted NASA's recent mission to repair and upgrade the Hubble Space Telescope.
Johnson took a museum patch with him on the mission, which will become part of an exhibit featuring other space artifacts from the United States and Russia.
His father and step-mother, who live in Mukilteo, traveled to Cape Canaveral in May to watch him take off. The Seattle Times ran a profile of him before the launch that details his childhood and education in the Seattle area. You can also read more about his Navy career in his NASA biography.
The Museum of Flight is located at Boeing Field, 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle. Admission for the presentation is $10 for the general public and $5 for museum members.

Its regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free on the first Thursday of each month. Active duty military can also receive discounted admission daily. For more details on admission and exhibits, visit the museum's Web site at www.museumofflight.org.
