Teaming up for a good cause

I'm proud to be a part of Team Navy for an upcoming fundraising competition to benefit the Valour-IT project, which provides laptops and other adaptive technology to wounded U.S. service members. The project is sponsored by Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting U.S. troops.
Valour-IT supplies voice-controlled laptops, Wii video game systems and personal GPS units to troops recovering from hand wounds and other severe injuries. The effort is in memory of SPC William V. Ziegenfuss.
The competition runs Oct. 26 through Nov. 11, Veterans Day. Read more about it on the Valour-IT Web site, Twitter account and Facebook page.
If you have a blog and want to join Team Navy for the competition, send an e-mail to the team leader at blog@usni.org.
If you're not sure about getting involved with Valour-IT, send me a link to your blog anyway and I'll add it to the new blogroll here at Northwest Navy News.
